We are excited to welcome back International maestros Juan Martin and Stefania Colina to Tango 178. As dancers they have inspired a generation of series salon dancers with their style musicality and invention. Juan Martin Carrara and Stefania Colina are renowned dancers, choreographers, and teachers. They have been celebrated internationally notably winning the Intercontinental Tango Salón Championship in 2009 and the Uruguayan Tango Salón Championship in 2012.
They are known for their immense respect for tango tradition and music, while also continuously working on new forms of expression in both salon and stage performances.
They are extremely talented and dance with an immense respect for the tradition and musicality whilst also working on new forms of expression and their own development in the salon and on the stage. Their exquisite musicality, charm and sensibility have won them many hearts all over the globe.

Class 1. The different relationships that bodies can adopt depending on the type of giro to execute.

Class 2. Giros & Creativity, How to break the normal pathron to create your own giros.
21:45 REAL guided practica with Juan and Stefi. This is the time when we practica with all the steps learnt with the maestros and look to consolidate the ideas into our dance. Juan and Stefi will be on hand to help you with any difficulties you are having and introduce wider possibilities that can be developed. This time is rare and valuable. Class teaching can feel dislocated from the actual nature of dance. Not so @ Tango 178. You will take a deeper step with our maestros into their approach to tango.
Please note that there is no availability to the Real Guided Practica with Juan and Stefi without attending classes.

Class 1: Study of the typical musical structures, control of the different rhythms and melodies. We will begin working on the musical accuracy of the different rhythms, to achieve a good definition in the execution of the movements. This will be an Advanced level class.

Class 2: Milonga
Musicality, embrace and different combinations, playing with the accents.
We will study different combinations of steps, rebounds and cuts that will allow us to articulate the music at will, while the embrace remains active and comfortable for both in the couple.
This will be an open level class
