Celeste Cimino and Luciano Millaqueo are professional tango dancers, based in Buenos Aires where they are acclaimed for their authentic style. They have worked together for more than twelve years, teaching and performing in the UK and across Europe. Their unparalleled knowledge of the history of tango makes them ideal ambassadors for Argentinean culture and their country’s iconic dance.

Introduction
Buenos Aires, among many other things, has a treasure that keeps the essential art of its city, tango is said to be a beautiful dance, therefore, it has to be danced beautifully. On this occasion, the workshops will tackle some of the most important movements of tango orillero and milonga, born in the outskirts of the city of Buenos Aires back at the beginning of the last century and that its soul still on in the milongas of the thrilling city of Buenos Aires.


Workshop one 19:30

Tango Salon

In this opportunity, Luciano & Celeste will bring from the heart of the tango salon a unique workshop where everyone will experiment with the basis of this style born in the north of the city of Buenos Aires. Villa Urquiza is said to be the area where tango salon was developed, tango venues such as Pinocho, Sin Rumbo and the mythical Sunderland Club are known as the birthplaces of this style. The workshop will go over the most important concepts taught by the remarkable maestros Carlos Perez y Rosa Forte.

Milonga

Pocho and Nelly are said to be one of the finest milonguero's couples that have left imprinted in the tea rooms (confiterias) their style full of rhythm, cadence and nuance.
This workshop tackles the exquisite art of the milonga, highlighting the footwork "glading and brushing" and cadence. The aim of this workshop is to immerse oneself into the milonga rhythm.
