Tango Classes and Practica on Thursday

We now run beginners and improvers’ tango classes every THURSDAY Upstairs in The New Cross House pub in New Cross, South London

Absolute beginners are very welcome. No partner required.

Schedule

• beginners/fundamentals of tango class 19:30 -20:30

• improvers/intermediate class 20:30 - 21:30

• Practica or dance practice session 21:30 - 23:00

The first class will explore the essential elements within tango
from a perspective of practical method.

The second class will further develop and explain in detail the application of those steps in terms of musicality and in movement space with a focus on social tango.

The Practica, is open to all and will be focused on giving space for genuine PRACTICE.

We hope that as a space it will allow experienced dancers a chance to expand their repertoire, as well as for the less experienced,. The practica will be a safe space to expand their tango away from the pressure of the 'codigos' or essential etiquette of social tango.

Our aim is to create an inspiring inclusive learning orientated evening with Tango178 as a compliment to our weekly milonga and build a skillful and happy community of social tango dancers in South London.
